Program Design & Development
Designing a specialty excess program requires more than an idea and a carrier relationship. It requires underwriting discipline, segment expertise, regulatory navigation, and the operational capacity to administer what you have built. Eric Arthur has done this before — twice.
Our current flagship — the Social Inflation Risk Alliance Purchasing Group — is a federally authorized purchasing group under the LRRA 1986. It will not be our last. Our pipeline includes additional program opportunities across all four target business segments.
For carriers interested in program partnerships within our four business segments, the Program Design and Development division is the right conversation. We are disciplined about underwriting, deliberate about segment selection, and experienced in what it takes to build programs that produce profitable, long-term carrier relationships.
Specialty Wholesale Brokerage
Standard programs are built around standard risks. But within our four business segments, there is a meaningful volume of business that does not fit a standard program template — large or complex schedules, unusual occupancy mixes, adverse loss history, or limit requirements that exceed a program’s ceiling.
Our Specialty Wholesale Brokerage division addresses exactly this business. We place excess and umbrella liability within our four business segments through individual carrier relationships and bespoke wholesale placement — giving brokers a single relationship for their entire segment book, not just the risks that meet a narrow eligibility template.
The Social Inflation Risk Alliance
The Social Inflation Risk Alliance Purchasing Group is a broad-form monoline excess and umbrella liability program organized under the LRRA 1986 and administered by Rainshade Specialty LLC. It is Rainshade’s flagship program and the most visible expression of everything the company is built around.
The Alliance delivers both coverage and a five-pillar intelligence and preparedness platform — a monoline excess tower attaching at $1 million with limits up to $200 million across four business segments. Distributed exclusively through licensed retail brokers.
